2024 PORSCHE CAYENNE TURBO GT
This Cayenne Turbo GT is the second project we’ve completed for this client. He discovered us originally through some of our post on the Rennlist forums and decided it was worth the trip from San Fransisco, CA up to Portland, OR to work with us — and we’re appreciative of the opportunity!
The primary goal was to protect the car from speeding tickets with an integrated radar and laser defense system. After deliberating on what product would be best, we decided to use the Redline Ci 360c from Escort Radar. Being a CA based car, it was important that the gear was implemented in a way that looks as factory as possible. With that in mind, we got to work scanning the car, rendering the mounting systems for the components, 3D printing and post processing all the parts to make the system appear as if it’s an extension of the OEM design. The photos below will show that process in great detail.Â
The owner optioned the car with the upgraded Burmester audio system(a $6k option) in hopes of having a decent listening experience. While it’s definitely better than BOSE($0 option on this car) it’s a far cry from what we would call “high-end” and it’s certainly not worth the additional cost. But, since it was already there, we worked up a plan to improve the sound dramatically without replacing every component.Â
The tweeters were upgraded to a silk-dome version from Morel of Israel, the front doors were acoustically treated and the amplifiers were replaced with better performing versions that allowed for finer tuning/processing. The result was something much more emotionally engaging and akin to what we would consider a “premium” audio experience.Â
