When it comes to trucks, it’s hard to find a cooler offering than the Raptor R. Unfortunately the new Bang & Olufsen Unleashed® system leaves a lot to be desired. 

The replaced the 6×9″ door woofers with an 8″ driver from Focal’s Utopia M series. We also built block off plates and treated the heck out of the doors acoustically to get the best mid bass response possible. To complement the woofers, we replaced the dash drivers with Morel Virtus Nano MM2 midranges and a pair of our favorite tweeters — the Morel Elate ALTOs. 

The tweeters required a fairly involved modification to the mounting system, so we modeled the pillar in CAD and 3D printed a new part. Getting the tweeters mounted more on axis was an important element for the final sound. 

To round out the bottom end we used a Hertz Mille PRO shallow 10″ subwoofer in an MTI Acoustic enclosure under the rear seat. All of this was powed by a pair of Mosconi PRO amplifiers and controlled by a Helix DSP Ultra.
