2023 LUCID AIR

With only a handful of the cars delivered to their owners at this point, this was the first time anyone had exlplored an audio upgrade for the LUCID platform(to our knowledge anyhow). There was a lot of discovery and learning involved in the process, but in the end, the owner was extremely pleased with the results. 

We replaced the front-end components with a set from Focal of France’s Utopia M series. Including a set of 8″ woofers mounted in the sides of the dash(factory locations). The rear speakers and heaight channels were handled by Morel’s virtus series and the subwoofer was a single Focal Utopia M SUB10WM. 

We wanted to keep the interior as original as possible with little to no modification. The only evidence of an upgrade is the main control panel in the center console which includes the controls for the Escort Radar and ALP Laser system. 

With a bit more opportunity to streatch our legs in the trunk, we decide that the Mosconi PRO amplifiers and Utopia subwoofer deserved a bit more of a show. Paying tribute to the unique interior design language, we designed a custom environment that married mid century modern with future tech — a great complement to the car itself. 

Of course, a cover panel can hide all of this away just as the lenses we fabricated cover the exterior laser jammers in the stealth radar/laser system.
